The best thing you can give to a parent is a letter telling them how much you love them, what they mean to you, and what you have learned from them. You could frame it, or include it in a photo album that you have "scrapped" for them.

How about a testimonial video? Use a video camera to interview all their friends and family members and maybe coworkers. Ask them to describe your mother/father in their own words, tell a funny or touching story relating to them and what they mean to that person. Edit for best content and add some of their favorite music and family photos to the spaces between interviews.

Why don't you get one, or even a couple of photos you or they really treasure, scrap them, and then frame it? It's very personal and they'll enjoy it all the more knowing how much effort you've put into it.

Upload some pics to snapfish.com and make them a book or a t-shirt. This is if you aren't too crafty though.
