Given your experience with the world and people in general, with the things you've read and seen firsthand... would you way that there are more "good" people out there, or "bad"? Of course this is a very general question, given that every different person has his or her own idea of what is "good" or "bad". Well, take for instance the exact dictionary's definition(s) of these two words, and try not to use the wikipedia, as it's answers are derived from the minds of a lot of unscupulous people. For the most part it does seem to have highly accurate definitions, but let's try using www.dictionary.com or something similar, like webster's dictionary. I'm just interested in your take on the good vs evil battle that goes on around us everyday usually on a subconcious level WITHIN people rather than without them, where we can see it. Guess I'm asking a moreso philosophical/metaphorical/metaphysical question.

I'm going to take a stand and say that there are more 'bad' people in the world. Take for instance that when a child is born you don't have teach that child to misbehave, we all have the instinct to do the wrong thing. It's a lot more work teaching a child to do the ~right~ thing. Granted some kids have more of a natural ability to do the right thing but more often than not it's instinct (even as adults)to do the wrong thing because let's face it, the wrong thing is usually more self-fulfilling at the moment. That's my take on it anyway - anyone else?

My own personal experience - more good than bad in the world. We read and hear about all these horrible, evil things that happen because it is they are the anomaly. I am speaking of moral evil here. Evil resulting from creatures with free will. (some people look at earthquakes, tsunamis as natural evil - I think they are just natural events - tragic but natural)
Thoughtful question.

I hate to say this, but I think there are more bad people in the world, than good. I'm a good person though.

Bad, because it is easier. We are naturally selfish, protecting our own. To be good we have to put ourselves second, not easily done.

I'll not get into religious doctrine tonight.
