If she has everything then what about making her a collage of family pictures all in a frame or glued to a poster board. This way she can look at the pics and have good memories and smile sometime when she walks by it. Most of all it would come from you.

I had the same situation with my stepmother, and ended up making her a very special gift. I cut up a bunch of nice paper into small cards (about 2" long by 1" wide). On each card I wrote a word that represents her to me, words like: "thoughtful", "kind", "attractive", "peace", etc. I think I did about 30+ cards in total. Then I put the cards into this heart shaped box. I told her to pull out a new card every day. She told me she loved this gift and I still see it out on the kitchen bench (and I gave it to her years ago). You could just use nice words if you can't think of that many things to say personally. Just having a nice thought (maybe look up some proverbs??)to read is a nice personalised gift.

If she really has everything, go and pick out a really nice card, and write in it what you think of her. Tell her about all the things she does for you and how much you appreciate her. Let her know how much you love her, and are so glad you have her there with you every day. I bet she'd love that gift, better than anything you could buy her. I know I've gotten cards like that and it warms my heart to think that my children feel that strongly about me, and our relationship.

How about a gift certificate for a dinner train or dinner cruise? Or maybe make a picture slideshow for her with music and memories. This is something that all moms love. You can use powerpoint for the slideshow, it's really easy.

Give her the Post Secrets book. It's great! Go to www.postsecrets.com and check out the post cards there. There are several Post Secret books available and all make great gifts. You might even make one or two of your own post cards to slip into the book to make it a more "personal" gift for your Mom. I believe these books are available at most major bookstores.

It's not what you get it's why you get it. Something from the heart is always more special. I got my mom a candle holder that had a poem on the back of it saying why she was important and why she is loved and she started crying. She keeps it in her bathroom now. And although it wasn't something HUGE it was meaningful and that's what's important when it comes to moms

I love all the other answers and I also think it would be beautiful if you could include a letter or poem for her, something that truly comes from your heart. I write acrostics for my family members and friends, put them on lovely paper and then frame them.

Give her a gift certificate to a good bookstore, then take her there to use it! Treat her to lunch afterwards.
