I want a new system but really don't want to spend $500-$600. I could wait until next spring or summer, but I really don't want to wait a year or 2 until they decide to drop the price. I only play sports games so there isn't much of a difference in the 2 systems to me, I've just been loyal to Playstation and no reason to change other than the price. I'm willing to wait, but only for so long.

They plan to keep the PS3 out for 10 years before they make PS4. It is already cheap. It shouldcost more than $1000 because of the HD DVD player. Sony lost a lot of many making these consoles and they are in trouble right now. If they lower the price, it would be in 5 yrs. or later and it would probably be lowered by only $100.

I would really suggest that you buy an Xbox 360 system while you wait for the PlayStation 3 to drop its price. It might take a while for it to drop, but I think you would also enjoy the 360. If you have a PSP, it is pretty cool because if your PSP has 3.00 firmware, you can interact your PS3 from your PSP. Or it's the opposite. I don't know, just get the 360 and be patient is all I suggest. I hope something works out for you.
