Have you tried oven cleaner? You need to break the sugar attachment. If no oven cleaner, try saturating a sponge with ammonia and placing it over the spot (hold your breath!) and then put some foil or Saran over to keep the fumes in. Let sit an hour or so. Before all the spray oven cleaners, my mother would put a dish of ammonia in the warm oven and leave overnight. By the next day the grease had softened........and we kids weren't raiding the cookie jar as we couldn't stand the smell.

You could take the oven outside, turn the oven on and heat the foil, then covering your nose and mouth with a wet cloth, wearing safety goggles, use a metal wand pump sprayer to spray short bursts of a fine mist of liquid chlorine bleach on the foil. The chemical reaction between the foil and the chlorine gas will produce a fine white powder which you can remove with a metal grill scrapper with a long handle. (made even longer if you tape a stick to it) You don't want to breath the resulting gas, why this needs to be done outside so the gas can vent away safely. Also the reaction puts on a little show, so start small. Again, don't breathe the fumes. Don't spray the chlorine in the air where the mist can get into others eyes. Rinse the pump of chemical after use. Spray, scrape, spray, scrape until the foil is gone.

Let the oven cool off. Put a wet towel on the bottom of your stove. If the stove is gas be sure to cut off the gas at the wall. Saturate the towel with water with a little bit of liquid soap. Let it set for about two hours. Then wipe it up. Good luck.

Cover the area with a little watter then let it sit for a bit, the watter should just cover the area the foil is stuck on. scrape the area & it should come off. Hope this helps. ~;}
