In your opinion, what are some of the scariest movies ever made? And not just scary as in bloody gore and slashing! There are many levels and varieties of terror and suspense. For different reasons, my top picks are The Exorcist, Sleeping With The Enemy and Deliverance.

I would have to say the original Salems Lot, only because the town I grew up in was very similar to Jerusalems Lot. After I saw that movie, my bed faced the window and my parents had to move it after the older brother kept waking me up at night in my nightmares! I'm in my 30's and that movie still bothers me today!

I am a huge scary movie fan. And I enjoy watching all the different levels of them ( favorites being Psycho, The Last House on the Left, People Under the Stares, Saw I & 2), but the one movie that scared me so bad that I couldn't even finish it was The Hills Have Eyes. Hearing that baby cry in the middle of all the chaos just about gave me a nervious breakdown. It was to realistic. i am determeined to make it through it though. I will not let it beat me...But I am not in a hurry to take the challenge yet.

Ju-on, A Tale of Two Sisters, Spider Forest, H, The Eye, Premonition, Audition, The Exorcist, Last House on the Left, Wolf Creek, Salvage, The Hills Have Eyes, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Alot of these are asian horror movies, I think the japanese can scare the hell out of you without much blood. They screw with your head, I like movies that are disturbing. I've seen alot of them and they really just creep me out.

I haven't seen many scary flicks but I thought the Ring, Saw I and the Exorcism of Emily Rose were really scary and freaked me out for a bit.

Any of the Alfred Hitchcock movies are extremely scary. See Psycho, Vertigo and The Birds.
