I know exactly where you are coming from. Turn every light on in the house, I always felt safer if everything was well lit up. Turn your telly up loud, that way you won't hear all those silly noises that are really nothing anyway and stay up all night. Sleep when the sun comes up. It always worked for me anyway. I don't know why but l have always been afraid of the dark but not ghosts l don't believe that they really hurt anyone. If all that fails, call a friend to come and stay over. Good luck.

I know how you feel! My husband works nights and we live in an old building. Just keep the TV on sitcoms or other light natured programs. Having the noise in the house helps me forget about the creepy sounds in the next room. I have several pets and that helps a lot too. Although sometimes it scares me when the cats follow something I can't see around the house, or the dog barks at the corner of the room.
You're not alone. Don't feel silly about it. Just keep yourself occupied.

I get afraid when my husband is away as well. But not of ghost cause they aren't real. How about to try and tell yourself that ghosts aren't real and sleep with a light on and think about something else. All the best.

Leave the light on all night. I usually stay up all night and sleep during the day so I don't have to deal with "things that go bump in the night." I keep the lights on and play up-beat music to keep my mind occupied. I figure if a ghost hears my singing it will scare the ghost away!

You definately need someone to come over and spend the night with you. Ask a friend to visit with you when he is away. You can have dinner, watch a movie, and hang out and chat. A lady friend is ok, but if you are afraid of ghosts you may want a strong man.

When my husband is out of town I keep the lights and tv on. I clean the house so long and hard that I am to tired to care if anything is around.

Definitely don't watch any scary movies. As of yet I haven't ever heard of a ghost hurting anyone, people hurt themselves in a panic. Think of angels protecting you. It is the living that can hurt you not the dead. So windows and doors locked.

Know this, ghosts can't harm you. They are made up of something similar to fog. They are just bumbling about cause they haven't found what they are looking for which is really peace. What you should worry about is the wacko's who are alive.

There are no such things as ghosts! I know, I've studied this for years. In the meantime, leave a couple of lights on if it will make you feel safer.
