Then all depends on what the Quebec people (voters) want. If they vote for a nation of their own a doubt the Canadian Govt. could do a thing about it. Are they going to send troops in to fight the Quebec people? The French were in Canada first so they should get to decide if they want their own nation or not.

I don't know why people want to do an independent nation, there is absolutely no point!!! Quebeckers are just normal people who work everyday to pay the bills, there is not going to be any advantage of being independent
We are supposed to be united!!, can you imagine if Quebec would be a separate country, you'd need a work permit to work in Vancouver, or Calgary!!! why do you want to limit to only Montreal (rest of Quebec doesn't exist) to live and work!!!
Why deny yourself the possibility of live in such wonderful places, if you want to speak french just do it, I don't think many people care about that language
What's next, Nunavut is going to be independent and speak inuit???
I dream of a whole North America as a united nation, U.S., Canada & Mexico should become one!!

to maintain quebec's lifestyle they could desire to proceed to be interior Canada. Its the rationalization they joined in the 1st place until now in 1867 and keeps to be the rationalization they must proceed to be. If quebec became independant and had to barter commerce agreements with NAFTA and WTO you may guess being only 8 million people in a sea of three hundred million north people they could carry no weight. In Canada the cereal containers et al are all revealed french/english and that they have the spectacular to trial and government provider of their own language everywhere in Canada and the spectacular to draconian language regulations interior their province. As a small area of a greater north us of a of america union its unclear they could get any of those concessions and could quickly be assimilated culturally and linguistically. IMHO
