They did when they elected Bush. Clinton, despite the Lewinsky scandal was a great president. People made a big deal over the scandal, it didnt change the economy, it didnt send people to iraq, people made it such a big deal over nothing.

The question should be: After seeing how the people voted in the last two presidentials elections, do you think the American people will ever know enough to elect a mature, intelligent, educated, thoughtful, experienced, honest man or woman for president of the United States? Will they forever vote for the one "they would most like to have a beer with"? In other words, the Nincompoop?

George Bush matches the definition of nincompoop if I have ever seen one, but he was never elected as he cheated both elections.

It's been done a number of occasions in US history. Many more dummies have been elected to President than great ones so we shouldn't be surpised when they come along because the odds are that the US President won't be very good.

Sorry, but he's term limited to two (thank god) so Bushy boy can't get a third unless he hijacks the war and declares Marshall law (and I'm not counting that out yet, knowing him and Rove).
You can talk about Clinton, but in another 9 years he would have had the U.S. in the Black for the first time in over 100 years. But no, Bush had to bankrupt us.
