Diaper rash ointment that has zinc oxide in it. This will protect the affected area from moisture and acid from urine/feces.
People may tell you to use powder, but that has limited effect to protect rash from further irritation. Diaper rash ointment is better, if it has zinc oxide in it. You can get it over the counter. A popular brand is Beaudreaux's Butt Paste.

For a rash that bad I would seriously just lather her butt up with all kinds of lotions and cremes all the time. The key is to change her diaper as soon as she dirties it because leaving even pee on the skin irritates the skin more than anything. Try Vaseline, Beaudreaux's Butt Paste, Desitin, a water-based lotion (not petroleum based like the vaseline--maybe that would do the trick?), and Baby Aveeno. Don't use baby powder or cornstarch.

Calmoseptine
It is not really a diaper rash ointment but a doctor told me to try it. It has worked better than anything for my daughter. It is a little expensive at 6.99 a tube, but it helps.

Let her be naked for a while. The air is good for her rash. It helps heal it. That is what I did for all of my 3 kids, and I never had to take them to the doctor for it. If she can't crawl yet, put something under her in case she pees, but if she does crawl, oh well. Just clean it with lysol or something.

Hi
We had the same problem. Solved quickly with Johnson Baby Sorbolene Lotion.
If you dont have that, try Mother Care brand diaper rach cream with zink. Not so bad either.
In any way, please remember, to always wash your little one's bum under running water with mild baby soap after he poo. Dont just wipe it.

A coworker shared with me her recipe for "miracle butt cream". Mix equal parts zinc oxide, Lotrimin, and Maalox mint. I used it on my daughter when nothing else worked. Works like a dream!

My son had a birth mark on his tush that would sometimes crack open a bit and bleed. I would put Vaseline on him, it helped seal in the moisture and protect it from stinging when urine got on the area. Hope this helps a bit and a hope your baby feels better.

Yes, your baby is gorgeous! I use Aquaphore on my daughter. But if she is starting to bleed, try to find a zinc oxide cream.
