Why is really the USA fighting Iraq?

Honestly, I think each person has their own answer to this question. Some people say oil, some say lies and I'm sure you will hear all sorts of reasons.

Ultimately, there is no way to know what the REAL reason that we are there. We just have to listen to everything and decide what we want to believe, based on what we know or based on what we want it to be about.

Me? I want to believe that we are there to protect people, oust a horrible killer AND help that area of the world begin to govern themselves.

This would require lengthy pages to justify a fair answer to your question. The U.S., in all reality is at war with Iran, as well as, Iraq. Iran is the main instigators behind the Iraqi war. The U.S. would have served the purpose for war better, on Iran. The Iranians supply all of the Terrorist groups in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and abroad. Iran wants to destroy North America, that is why they are working on long-range missile systems. It is better that the troops are in Iraq for when the time comes to go at Iran, the troops are "next door". The world today, is a changing place. Since the U.S. is the Power - many of the nations want it knocked down and out. Be ready for lots of changes to come for all of us in North America over the course of the next few years. War is on the horizon for sure. Either, we fight or they [Iranians & Terroist Groups] will come to fight us on our soil. I can't see our people submitting to a Muslim system run by Terrorists ... we love our freedom to choose and do things. Our nations have to be defended - or else !!!

OIL! The Bush family owns the mineral rights on a few wells in Iraq and he is trying very hard to protect them. This was general knowledge during his daddy's reign. That's the reason our young men and women are there now.

To be honest, we are really over there for oil, but instead of America having a better economy, our gas prices are getting higher and higher....all of those are reasons that they made up are really not the reason that we are over there losing more, and more American soldiers. they said themselves they want our American blood. there are no weapons of mass destruction, and they have their own government that they need to run themselves. So in reality we have no valid reason for being over there.
