Let me ask you the following question. I am creating a packet for a person in my school for she is getting a makeover by me and a group of my friends. We are changing her style to a preppy style. Here is her background info. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and her waist size is 42 inches. Her hip is 39 and her chest is 38. We Me and my friends wish to make her a list of preppy cloathing she will fit into. And we also need a list of the following preppy accesories:
Preppy cloathing
Preppy jewelry
Preppy shoes
Preppy makeup,

If any preps are out their, it would be a big help if you list your favorite preppy shoes, cloathing, jewelry, and makeup. Or anything you know is preppy. Thanks. ~Jessie~

I'm a guy prep and none of these other people seem to know what a prep is. Having gone to private schools and dated prep girls I know what being a real prep is. First off...you can't make the girl a prep. Preppy is not a clothing style, it is a lifestyle. True preps dress the way we do because we were raised to dress that way, you can't really acquire taste, you just have to have taste. You have to love sailing, tennis and polo. The other thing is that you might be referring to Abercrombie and Hollister and American Eagle as being preppy when they are definitely NOT. Preppy clothing comes from J. Press, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, L.L. Bean, J. Crew, and specifically for girls Lilly Pulitzer. Preppy shoes usually come from Sperry Topsider or L.L. Bean or Gucci or other name brands. Prep guys don't wear jewelry (except for our family crest signet ring or prep school ring), but prep girls usually wear pearls on all occassions. Prep girls like to wear sweaters and blouses, skirts, and also hairbands. You might want to pick up a copy of The Official Preppy Handbook which is the bible for all true preps. That might give you an idea of what real preps look like or you could just spend an afternoon in Greenwich, CT or Martha's Vineyard.

the terrific element to do is to look at preppy shops' web pages, because of the fact they regularly have lots of pictures of outfit recommendations with the fashions all dressed up. shops like Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle outfits shops, Lacoste, etc. There at the instant are not any rules of being a prep, fairly. i think you may look it up on Wikipedia or something in case you desire to be attentive to how the completed "prep" element got here approximately. easily wait, it you desire to be stereotypically preppy, inspect city Dictionary.

Wow, it is pretty sad and sick that you have fallen into the ignorant world of cliques. And no dear, I'm not another high school, college aged student. I am a mother.
Have you ever thought it's what's on the inside that counts? Leave the poor girl alone, she doesn't need to conform, she doesn't need to pretend to be someone she's not. She needs to find her own identity and let the crowd go on. In the end - they (you and your friends) aren't much going to care what happens to her down the line. She's not a barbie. Grow up.

i love abercrombie, but i dont think she'll fit. Im sure there are some plus size preppy stores online that have preppy stuff. Polos, cashmere sweaters, and shoes from american eagle or designers (eluxury.com) are always cute. For jewelry and make up i love tiffanys and sephora

are you f-ing kidding me? I'm a prep but Jesus..just let the poor girl be herself..if she wants to be more confident she needs to worry less about her clothes and more about getting friends that will value her for more than just her brand names.
