I go in there often and never find a sale or a clearance item. Where does it go. Or where could I find new, discounted MacBooks? Thanks!

Apple uses sophisticated "just in time" production and distribution techniques to keep from over-producing products. When they know they're about to discontinue a model, they'll ramp down production as they ramp up the new version. This means that they rarely have significant numbers of the "old" version left to have clearance sales.

The good news is that if you watch carefully, you can sometimes tell when a new model is about to be announced. It's usually soon after an existing model becomes scare.

Hello bob_mall_lipgloss,

Apple never has sales on their Macintosh computers unless they are dumping last year's models for the new ones.

If you are looking for good deals, I would suggest getting a refurbished Mac at PowerMax. The refurbs are rebuilt returned Macs that keep their factory warranty.

Check it out. Best of luck to you.
