BESIDES Del Monte, because my baby didn't like this brand (it's kindda "gooey")
I wanted Gerber wheat cereal, but they don't make it.
I don't want the one that says "mixed cereal", though.

Thank you!

Gerber does make a wheat cereal. They only sell it at sams and cosco. sometimes you will find it at walmart. But they do make wheat cereal. That is what i feed my 8 month old daughter. she loves it.
Also you said that the wheat cereal from Del Monte' was gooey, that could be from lack of water.. if its too thick add more water, formula, liquid. If its too runny add more cereal.. Just a quick tip... good luck hun.. Zoe

The reason you don't find it very often is because it is a common allergy to infants. Not all children are sensitive to it but, the ones who are usually can eat as they get older.

If there are allergies in the family, its a good idea to wait until 1 year old.

If not Cream of Wheat is fine. Directions for infant feeding are on the side of the box.

Has everybody definitely tried infant nutrition? EWWWW. I definitely have consistently made my son his own nutrition and started him with mashed vegies like potato, candy pot, carrots, pumpkin, avocado, banana, spinach, apple, pear, peach. For breakfast I used to combine rice cereal with breast milk/boiled water/ or cows milk and then mixture in some banana - he enjoyed it. It doesnt take long to coach and so some distance as i'm worried i be attentive to what my son is eating. I dont think of jar nutrition is that undesirable, he has had it as quickly as and definitely ate it, yet i elect him to start eating real nutrition as quickly conceivable and get him into the habit of eating healthful fruit and vegies quite than thinking stuff from a tin or jar or can or container is what he ought to be eating!
