I am against gun control for a couple of reasons.
A criminal will always have a gun. They do not call them criminals because they follow the laws. You can only depend on yourself anyway, I think that the U.S. supreme court ruled that the police can't be responsible for everyone. Plus, if you call the police it takes time for them to get to where you are at. Meanwhile, you could killed or harmed waiting for them. The only thing gun control does is restrict the law abiding citizens right to defend himself.
The second reason is to protect us against the government. If the citizens are armed they will be able to fight back. Both Hitler and Stalin disarmed their people and look what happened. I wonder if the Holocaust would have happened if the Jews would have been armed and able to form a militia to fight back.

This Moderate Liberal is against gun control in any form. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution was part of the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights was for THE PEOPLE. The second amendment has nothing to do with the National Guard, State police or such.

Over the last century our 2nd amendment has been eroded by both parties because of the threat of an "armed populace". Once you disarmed the people, the government can do whatever it wants to the people.

Plus gun control only effects law abiding citizens. Criminals do not obey the law, therefor will not obey the laws for banning guns. All gun control laws do is make victims of the people to criminals.

Nope. Same as the others. Own handguns and a shotty, intend to keep them at any cost, licensed to carry concealed...blah, blah. The poor people in New Orleans...police show up and confiscate their weapons. Mind you, the ones guarding their own property...does not bode well for the future. I am in favor of NO gun control unless someone can promise me beyond the shadow of a doubt that NOBODY will possess a gun, anywhere. In other words...not gonna happen.

The only gun control I am for is being in control at all times.
Guns don't kill people do.

Gun control only restricts the rights of law abiding citizens, not the criminals who use stolen, unregistered guns... If some genius can figure out how to take away all the bad guys' guns first, then I'd consider giving up mine.

I am a sportsman, and hunter that thinks that some gun control is necessary. I do think there are enough laws on the books and that they need to be enforced with vigor. I have owned guns, getting my first one when I was 9 and have never pointed at, much less killed another human being. To limit my use of a gun to both defend myself or us for my own pleasure is wrong. But then again I do not need a AK47 with a 30 shot clip to go deer hunting.

I support Gun Control, I always use both hands!

Seriously Gun Control is a farce propagated by Hoplophobes (fear of weapons) and Leftist Commies who think that only the "Government" can be trusted with a gun.
Do they really believe that criminals will quit raping, stealing and killing because the Democrats passed a law that says they can't have a gun? Most of them are convicted felons who are barred from having one anyway. Besides we don't even enforce the laws or punishments we have now!
The Criminals don't fear the Police, the Judge nor Jury......We must make them fear the Victim!!!!
An example? The Asian store owners who kept the peace (and their stores) during the LA riots.........Tell them that they shouldn't have the right to bear arms!

Gun control is knowing where your shooting and using both hands.

Before anyone wants to change gun control they should take a look at the city of Virgin Utah.

Well, they disarmed Mexico. Why do you think they are all running up here instead of fighting for there own country? Take away arms from the citizens, and that's how it ends up. Try reading the bill of rights, and the Constitution.
