Harper should be removed from Government, because of his statement about Quebec being a Nation within Canada. Quebec is Part of Canada. If Ontario is the Heart of Canada, then Quebec is the Blood. They are one, and Harper should be removed for his rude statement. Who agrees with me?

Harper was brave enough to state the "Québécois" form a nation within a united Canada...(pls note that he did not say "Québec" formed a nation). Although i'm no where close to being a conservative fan, i do respect that he put down such a motion on the floor for debate.

Seriously, you have to pay attention to the wording...had Harper said that Quebec formed a nation, the the Bloc would have shut up and agreed...but that isn't the case people...

What are the Prairies? I think Quebec and Ontario should seperate so that maybe the rest of the country could have a say in what goes on once in a while.

Anyone who thinks Quebec is just another part of Canada is jealous. They are totally different than the rest of the country, and although parts of our history are intertwined, there is much uniqueness there. If they want to seperate, let them. I don't really see the problem. Now if Alberta wanted to go, we'd have to fight that, or Canada's net worth would drop by about 50%.

Once again there are those in Canada that are not glad or maybe proud that they are Canadians. They would rather be know as Quebecers. The U.S.A. fought a bloody war in the 1860's about states leaving the Union. Maybe that is what this person would like to see as well.
Canada is one country with several providences and not another country with in itself. This gentalmen is wrong from the start.

Even thought no one says it, everyone agrees that Quebec is 'superior to the rest of Canada.' They can speak both French and English, and are generally better looking, drive better cars, live in better homes, etc. Based on this, it should be a separate state, and Harper fully exonerated. It's only fair that the lower classes respect their betters.

I definitely agree. Does he actually believe he would get support on this notion from anybody living outside of Quebec?

Divisiveness was caused by Harper and should be responsible for it.
