No it's not part of a car. It is a tool such as a screwdriver.

I would say it is, because without it you can't start the car very easily, if at all. But then I would say that it isn't, because it's not exactly permanently attached to the car. In fact, you can take the key out of the ignition in some cars and the thing will still keep running. My dad had a 62 Chevy that he would take the key out when he was driving and let me play with them in the back seat when I was but a child. But then again I would say that it is, because you can buy them at auto parts stores. But then again, you can get them at a hardware store, so maybe it isn't. I am gong to settle this right now by flipping a coin. Heads, it is, tails, it isn't.

i got this one car 1 time and the guy sold it to me and after i gave him the $ he told me the batt was not part of the car if i had to pay ex if i wanted the batt so i told him **** off and i would get mine own batt
