I told her i wanted a divorce and she said that i was going to pay. i left the house because she started to throw things. i came back home an hour later and the police pulled me over a few houses from my home. asked me what happen and said ok now tell me again this time the truth, what happen. I said the same thing. The police told me that my wife said i was hitting her and pulled out some of her hair. I said she was lying i never touched her. They arrested me and i was in jail for 4 days. I pleaded guilty so i can save my job. I have never ever been arrested before for anything. i have to do domestic abuse classes and 16 hours volunteer work and a misdoremeanor on my record. my wife confessed to her ex husband a former police office and 3 of her older sisters and her son (my step son) who is 17 and said the only reason she had me arrested is because she wanted me out of the house and she lied to the police about the hitting and she pulled out her own hair. what can i do. help me.

He has his word and the kids for a witness. Sadly these domestic violence laws are slanted against men and often abused by the women that they were put in place to protect. By all means get an attorney. There is more at stake than meets the eye. He could potentially lose the right to own a gun even for a misdemeanor offense if convicted. He needs to fight the case.

Welcome to the Brave New World. All it takes to have a husband arrested and jailed is the (very often vengeful) wife to make the call.

Oh, and then you get put on the D.V. (domestic violence) list. Good luck when THAT happens. You're f**ked for life!

Now, who's going to wonder why more men are shying away from marriage?

you really screwed up pleading guilty. Now just move on...stay as far away from her and learn your lesson. Good luck and keep your distance.
