Well I've read a LOT of stuff about Donnie Darko (never seen it) but no one EVER mentioned this or any song. So I guess the song, at least 'made' the movie for you, so that's cool. But, I DO understand your great question! Some would say the Bee Gee's Staying Alive 'made' Saturday Night Fever, but we know it was because John Travolta shook his butt. lol... 'The Graduate' was made famous by Simon & Garfunkal's Mrs. Robinson... The entire soundtrack made 'Urban Cowboy' tollerable. Without it, I don't even think John Travolta shaking a cow's butt would've saved it. But the music? Awesome (for country/pop...lol). When the cast of 'Almost Famous' sing Elton John's Tiny Dancer on that bus - it 'made' the movie. The 'Dueling Banjos' scene in Deliverance 'made' that movie. The 'Duel' between the lady playing the cello and the computer in 'Electric Dreams' 'made' that movie. And who could watch a 'Vacation' movie without hearing Lindsey Buckingham's Holiday Road?!?!?! Oh, and that song the blue alien does in 'The Fifth Element'. MADE IT! :-)
