More complex radar systems, like those used at airports, allow radio waves to be imaged on a computer screen. They send out a beam of radio waves (like a flashlight sends out light), collect the waves that reflect of off distant objects, and reconstruct the wave pattern into an image (like the eye does with light). The result is displayed for the operator to see.

So far only certain wavelengths can detect other wavelengths. Such as radar detecting signals from a plane and such. Cell phones can also be detectedd but a electronic device that would alow you to see these waves is not feasible. Not only would they be extremely quick but also extremely small. Also, so many frequencies and waves are traveling around us, it would be rather hard to see anything else, much less decypher one wavelength from another.

We regularly convert different types of waves to the visible spectrum. You can't strap on goggles and watch these waves propagate though as they travel very quickly and a computer does the conversion.

infrared technology that helps you see the heat in something. Infrared waves are right below the wavelength of visible light.
