Do you tip somebody who brings takeout food to the car; if so how much?

When you call ahead to order from a restuarant for takeout food and they deliver right to your car after you pull up, is it proper to tip the person who brings the food to your car? If so how much do you tip that person?

If it's a place like Applebee's with that curbside service, then probably a dollar or two just because that's part of the service and I didn't have to get out of the car. It's more about tipping for the convenience aspect, rather than tipping for refilling my glass and having to wait on me.

When I was a waitress, it was a miracle to even get a tip at all for doing that service!

Where is the service? Then food did not get from the supplier, prep and cook itself and box itself and end up in an paper bag without people! I tip 2 or 3 bucks for non fast food takeout, more if it's anniversary ace that doesn't normally do takeout and the staff has to scramble ton improvise containers.

I usually tip at like Sonic cause they bring the food to you, but if your at mcdonalld or something and they say to pull up, bc yur foods not ready NEVER TIP THOSE PEOPLE!!!But always tip at a regular rest. If a fastfood, like Sonic a dollar or two.
