No I think the Cubs will do better this coming year, not TOO much better though. I really doubt the Cardinals can repeat.

it will be written, that on April 4, 2007, the Chicago Cubs will be eliminated from contention in the Central Division, National League.

They will end up a record 102 games behind the St. Louis Cardinals. The final standings will look like this:

Cards: 103 59 --
Astros: 83 79 20
Reds: 83 79 20

Cubs won't lose 100 games because they already have a better team than last year and they need pitching but the offseason isn't over.

The cubs are now forced to buy some players as last year was a disaster. Coming up on the 100 year anniversary of the billy goat is going to force them to do something drastic. They are opening their wallet, so they might get one year out of the team. The cardinals are run so much better though.

The cubs won't be the champions, but they won't lose 100 games. Derrek Lee is a great hitter, and he will be healthy, Aramis ramirez is also a 30 hr, 110 rbi guy, and alfonso soriano will be there. Also mark prior and kerry wood will be healthy.

Cubs will be better, but not good enough. Dodgers, yeah right. Juan Pierre is a terrible signing for that much money. Cardinals probably won't repeat, nobody does that in baseball anymore.

No. My prediction for the Cubs will be something around 85-77.

As for the cards, no way.

Cubs won't lose that many games. The Cards won't win the division.
