Cows are quite happy to stand in the rain if there is no other shelter, they'll stand with their bums in the wind so rain doesn't get in their eyes.

We had a housing that allowed the cows to go in & out of the barn when they wanted. We would alway check on them the same time every day since they would usually be in the barn then- unless it was raining - they would not go in all day then! Well maybe if it was coming down in buckets......

they look for the nearest tree and hundle to gether you can always tell when a storm is coming the cows will bunch together tightly

yes they go swimming and become their own motor boats because of their long fart. :-0
