friend v. teacher?

Question

ok one of my best friend's loves to go out and drink. she is 16. shes and a few more friends got caught by the cops about a month ago. and last night one of her and her friends that she got caught with went back out. her mom called me looking for her and her mom is also my teacher, i feel like if i lie to a teacher that it will affect my grade. i dont know what to do. i dont like being put in a situation to choose between a friend and a teacher.
