I have some high anxiety and hypocondria, and when I eat sometimes I get really afraid that I'm going to choke and I spit out the food. I've told my mother about this and she's bascially either laughed or gotten mad at me, and just recently she accused me of being anorexic and we got into a huge argument where I was yelling and screaming (because when you have high anxiety or issues like that, someone yelling at you doesn't help) and she launched into this angry yelling, started hitting me with a pillow and yelled that I didn't have any respect for her and she told me not to talk to her or ask her for help again.

I need advice on what to do, because nobody will take the problem seriously and now I'm not speaking to my mother. I can't handle this anymore, has anyone gone through something similar?

Assuming that you are in high school I would recommend that you talk to a guidance counselor for assistance and/or recommendations on further assistance. This may be something that casn be taken care of if done early. It is sad that you cannot talk with your Mother about it. Good Luck.

You have not mentioned your age. If you are old enough make an appointment with your doctor and talk to him/her. If not go to your school nurse or guidence counsellor. Your Mom probably has no idea what to say or do to deal with your issue and so responds the way she does out of concern cut her a little slack. You do need to see a doctor and talk to them. Good luck

Talk to your doctor...you can make an appointment yourself without telling your mom, so she doesn't get all worked up. You can also talk with the school counsellor...and ask them not to talk with your mom, so she won't get all upset. If you still can't fix the problem, maybe think about telling a close adult relative, like an aunt or grandparent.

Do you think is is phycological problem? If yes, ask yourself if you had bad experience with something choking on your soar before? Sometimes our problems lies on our past expeirence before, you gotta find out what's lying behind your concious.

then second step is to tell yourself, repeatly everyday, and with many times, everything is gonna be all right, you can eat normally like others. repeatly to tell yourself this, that would change your superconcious.

I hope this helps, god bless you.

You sound like you need to see a therapist. You are obviously struggling with some internal issues that cannot be resolved without help.
