When you're ready? Surely? How else could you find an ideal time for dying? Unless you dont mean philosophically, and then you are probably looking for: While sh*gging.

In the womb, it would save a lot of messing about.

Yesterday.
If yesterday was the ideal time to die, then today is an extra bonus, and should be appreciated as such. If you lived by this philosophy, every day would be an unexpected gift, to be appreciated for its richness and interesting happenings, and even bad occurences would feel lucky.

Ursula O has it right, God placed all of us on earth for a very specific reason, and when we have accomplished that task, whether we know we have or not, he will take us and send us to either Heaven or Hell.
