Zoloft seems to render it extremely difficult or impossible to achieve orgasm. I am considering switching to cymbalta. Does anyone know if this one has the same side effect in women???

Try Wellbutrin XL, got of the other Zoloft b/c of the same thing, and the new med works good. Just keep an eye on it and switch slowly, reducing one while adding the other.

Zoloft (and Celexa and Lexapro and Effexor) did the same thing to me and eventually caused me to try different medications. The last two I listed were the worst for that side effect.
I've not been on Cymbalta but it is the same type of medication (it's the only other medication on the market that effects the same neurotransmitters) as Effexor, which would leave me, personally, a bit wary of it. Just because one causes that problem doesn't mean another will though (even within the same class of medication - such as SSRI -which Zoloft is), so it's always worth a try.
A lot of times the newer medications have less side effects than the earlier ones.
If I were you, I would check remedyfind.com and see what others who have been on it have to say.

Zoloft is supposed to have the least amount of sexual side affects but if it is becoming a problem i would actually talk to your ob/gyn and see what he/she suggests. they know a bit more about that than your normal doc. it may not even be your meds. good luck. i have had the same problems.

I think you should switch, I know antidepressants make people feel undersexed.
Well good luck!
