You know what? I just realized that this is in the math section...
anyway, easiest way to make cookies is to buy the cookie dough, roll 'em up into little balls, and then place on cookie sheet, about 2" apart..... hard way, is starting from scratch..so here's a sugar cookie recipe...

Find a recipe and follow it precisely. Baking is more of an exact science than cooking. Instead of following a recipe, you are actually following a formula. The recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies is right on the package. Good luck!

I buy that big plastic tube full of cookie dough. Then I slice it up and lay the slices on the pan for that perfectly round cookie.

You need to follow a recipe, because baking requires exact amounts of things- for example, you need to include things like baking soda, cream of tartar, flour, and eggs in the right amounts, or the cookies won't stay in one piece or be the right texture. Baking is like low-level chemistry, and you really can't improvise or things will get too messed up.

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350
Mix up sugar and egg and vanilla, add peanut butter, put onto non greased pan and bake for 8-12 minutes depending on how soft you like them and how well your oven is...guarentee they will come out really good if you dont burn them then you can come back and choose me as the best answer cuz they are the best easiest quickest peanut butter cookies you'll ever eat...may i suggest some milk to go along!!!!
