I love my nano.
It is small and compact.
It is very simple to use and navigate.
I have a 4 gig (avail in 2, 4, or 8) and holds one thousand songs. Honestly, if most of your music is stored on your computer I would go with the 2 gig for the simple fact that it is very easy to switch out songs on the ipod.
I like the size because it is easy to strap on my arm and workout without it being in the way. Nike has also jumped in and added a shoe that can be used w/the ipod to set goals and track running distances. Nikeplus.com. It's awesome!!
I guess the accessories are what really push the Ipods. Home docking stations, car hookups, xbox hookups . . . the nano is very easy to transport between different locations.
If you are still undecided, then you might wait until Apple unveils their new Ipod phone in the beginning of 2007.

I have one of the new ipod nanos and its great. Its green and I love it. It can get really loud. My battery life lasts for about 24 hrs. thats the longest one i know of so far. I bought the 4 gig and it was the same price as the original 2 gig. Nw i have an extra 1000 songs its great. O yea and the screen is much brighter than the original. It has a color screen too.
The only thing i don't like is that it is not compatible with the new games they came out wiht. It would have been cool if they were. you watch videos either. but o well. I still like my ipod.

Pros:
The battery life is very long
The screen is color
You can hide it more easily - so people will be less likely to steal it (I live in NYC so this was a big factor :)
Its easier to clip on to things if you get a clippy cover because it won't weigh anything down
It is SO cute!!
Cons:
The screen is too small to watch videos
The storage is small so I have to pick and choose which songs to put on it from iTunes
You have to hold down Menu to turn it on - you can't just hit play like with old iPods
BeCAUSE its so small, it can get lost more easily
Overall, I like the Nano because it cheaper than the 80Gig video iPod, but if I had the $$ I'd get the most expensive one because, I guess, its just cooler. But if you're thinking about practicality (listening to music at the gym or at work, or during travel), really the Nano is all that you need!

I have a 30 gig ipod video and a nano, and the nano is used far more than the video pod. I almost wish id never got a larger model and got the 4 gig nano.

I have a video ipod and would recomend getting one instead of a nano. nanos are ok, but for just 100 more dollars you can get an ipod that holds music videos, tv shows, and movies. The video holds a lot more. Plus, the video is a newer model so it will last longer. =)

Apple iPods are some of the nicest mp3 players on the market.
However, with anything you buy, there are some flaws.
Apple iPod Flaws:
- Easily scratch
- Need to replace the battery after about 1-2 years (as you do with other brands)
- Are more expensive then other brands
Other then those few common flaws, iPods are great because they organize you're music better then any other mp3 player on the market. Also, because of the large market, they are the easiest mp3 players to buy accessories for! I love my iPod!!!

I have an iPod video and it's great! But my cousin has an iPod nano and I like it a lot, because it's small and fits anywhere!! Plus it holds a lot of songs, and it has a color screen where u can see pictures! I love iPods!!

OK well, it's really small, which is good for sticking it in small places like your pocket, but the display is really tiny obviously. If you look at a video iPod and then look at the nano it's like a HUGE difference wow. But if you're looking for compact, then that would be perfect. The color displays are very clear and bright though. I don't like that you can't get additonal games or movies on it, but if you don't care about that, then get one. Overall, I love mine!

I have both an iPod nano and a Mp3 player. Truth be told, I like the Mp3 player better.
