the process is called burning. People take music from thier computer, and most computers already come with a drive to transfer music from the computer to a blank Cd, and the computer puts the selected music onto a disk!

I assume you want to burn your own CDs or make copies.
1st, your computer needs a CD burner. Then it needs software such as Media Player or Real Player (These are just 2 examples.) in order to "rip" the music & then burn it onto a blank disc.
BTW, this is legal, as long as it's for private use only.

You have to have a burner drive in your computer's tower. It will say Cd-Rw on it. Then you can use windows media player to burn your cd's. (burn button on the bottom right corner of the window.

1.first you have to have a cd burner.-- a lot of newer computers come with them already installed. if your computer doesnt have one you can buy a cd burner at pretty much any computer store such as comp usa.
2. then you have to have music. i get my music from limewire, which is free. you can downlad it here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml (its free as long as you get the basic version-- which works well enough) you can also get music off of itunes. itunes is free but you have to pay to get the songs you want.
3.download itunes at http://www.apple.com/itunes/. once you have itunes go to file--add file to library- then find where your songs are saved and add them to your library. make a playlist of your songs you want on your cd. then go to file-- burn playlist to cd. and it will burn your cd. its not as hard as it sounds....

There are programs you use on your computer that extract it, copy it, whatever, then take what your copies of the songs and burn them to a CD.
