The Michael Richards hecklers? What they said was that Michael was not funny. Only when Michael resorted to racial slurs did they return in kind.

Biggotted hecklers? Come on! Give me a break! I'll tell you what's wrong with America. This country was founded on imperialism, biggotry, lies, and trickery. People of color, not just blacks, are still feeling the effects of an unfair/unjust America since the Mayflower arrived at Plymouth Rock. No one wants to talk about the past and it's affect on America today. Here is a hypothetical: When you're in a relationship, and something is troubling you, wouldn't you like to address the issue? Or would you rather hold it including everything he/she does to piss you off until one day you go "postal" .
Things have improved some what in America but we {people of color) still have quite a long way to go as far as equality. Yeah, I do agree that hecklers are rude ignorant bastards. and they should only be allowed to watch performances through a sound proof room. But I hold that professionals should conduct themselves as so. Society holds professionals to a higher ethical standard. He went on a racial tirade in front of an audience for about three minutes.
At this point, it doesn't matter, but Kramer used the racial epithets first after the hecklers told him he wasn't funny. Then came word cracker in defense of being called a n.i.g.g.e.r. 14 times.
Until we form a consensus to address these issues, America will never become the "Utopia" subliminally stated in the constitution.

I will put the blame 50/50. Michael Richards has been going through some difficult times since Seinfeld ended and he hasn't been able to become as successful. Being a stand-up comdeic is very difficult ans stressful. You have to make sure that you're keeping the crowd entertained. I find it rude and ignorant that the so-called "hecklers" began to harrass Michael while he was doing his job. As far as I'm concerned he wasn't participating in "A Night at the Apollo". But still in his anger driven mental state, it was wrong of him to resort to using the "N" words, off all words. I honeslty don't believe it was racially intended. I think it happened out of anger.

My feeling about the whole thing is that RIchards didn't need to say what he said. He could have had security or staff remove the hecklers or tell them to behave.
I saw on tv tonight the two hecklers are now looking for a lawsuit. I wondered if Carlos Mencia had said it, would it all be the same fuss everyone is making about it?

Whats REALLY wrong in this whole situation is the fact that fatboy Al Sharpton has his face on the news about it.
Did you know that he said Richards apology wasnt accepted because the Letterman show is a "white show"?
Now i guess HE needs to apologize huh?
