Chances are that she's just playing. Dwarf Hamsters squeak quite a bit. Give her plenty of attention.

Hamsters can not bodily cry (with tears) yet they are in a position to experience unhappy. in the experience that your hamster had gunk round her eyes she could have have been given something caught in her eye or she could have an infection.

It is just talking! All animals make noise when they are in their comfort zone. The pitch of the noise will change around another hamster or if it is scared.
Don't worry about the noise. Talk to the vet if you need reassurance.
Hope this helps you.

Wow, I've never heard of that before. The best advice is to call the vet and ask them what they think over the phone. That way you don't have to bring them in for a visit for no reason.

Depressed & crying? Don't think so. Just being herself. Never saw a hamster who didn't squeak. If she does not appear to be sick, let it be.
