Most definitely tomtom. I have both, bought a garmin first, then a tomtom, when the garmin kept trying to send me miles out of my way. The garmin is at the back of the cupboard at home.

Tomtom is much easier to use, and easier to load from your PC
Follow this link for a discounted price at halfords, and I would reccommend the tomtomgo 710, which is just in your budget.

I would go with Garmin.

Tom-Tom once told somebody to go through Denmark, Germany and Holland, take a ferry to England; drive to Scotland and take the ferry from there to Bergen!

They're probably a lot better today, but it does give you pause.
However, features are a matter of personal preference.

Definately tom tom. Rented Garmin for an important work trip and ended up an hour away from where I should have been!!
Don't do Garmin!

i'd favor Garmin extra useful, although that's as a lot as you besides. otherwise, if you're actually not sensible, and once you've a Costco club, bypass purchase a GPS in Costco (in view that they have a ninety days go back coverage, no restocking fee). i imagine that's the finest thanks to attempt :) perfect needs,

i dont use them, but quick word of advice, the holder that goes on the windscreen is a sign to would be thieves that you have them, so dont keep it in your glove box or under the seat, make sure you take it into the house each time.

hope this helps, and good luck getting your gps
