Can you give me your thoughts on morning moods.

Do you think if you're bad in the mornings is it possible to become a morning person, is my main question?

Do you think it's about personality and not due to life circumstances or do you think it changes naturally depending on things like whether the person is happy with life, if they have to get up every day to a bad job or whatever? How much sleep they got? Bad dreams? I find it quite interesting but I don't really know much about it. I hope you'll write a little on the topic if you have any thoughts.

Also you must tell me, how are you in the morning? :)

Too start off with, go to bed at a decent time, and get a good night's sleep. This makes all of the difference. Dreams you cannot help happen.

I used to be sunshine and bouncy bouncy. Sometimes I still am. :) Quite often, will wake up with all these energetic thoughts/ideas, even if too tired to implement them right off. Bad moods in the morning depend on what I might have allowed myself to dread about the day to come; usually, the anxiety wears off or I think new types of things and do not be weighed down. I think either you're a morning person or you're not and it has nothing to do with life circumstance or bad dreams or anything. A day's what you make of it. I've woken up fearing what will happen at work or school so in a foul mood, then on the way there, cheered myself up somehow by seeing the morning sun. Others can do it too. It's how you think....

I think it has a lot to do with how tired you are when you wake up. I was a night person when I used to stay up late and the amount of sleep that I got each night was not quite as regulated. Since I've been going to sleep earlier and waking up at the same time consistently, getting 7-8 hours of sleep per night, I've become more of a morning person.

Hi!

I'm ikky in the morning because I like to sleep from 5am to 8am and
that is rough if you are not rich!

Also, sleep matters very much.

The way I deal with it is a lovely warm shower, a French Vanilla
Decaf and two croissants with butter
and apricot jam.

Otherwise, I just mope about all day long!

Oh, well ... OK..... I chant "Om" first thing in the morning. That seems to set things straight!

Cheers!

P.S. Another factor I find that has
helped me from the past (and I have had a very unhappy past) is the
discipline from having been a performer. You see, the show must
go on whether you feel like it or not. You just pull yourself together
and do things, just as a mother must do .. "Whistle a happy tune, and hold your head up high..."
(from Rogers & Hammerstein's 'The
King & I') It really works. You just need to find out what works for you.
That is all. Yes?

I am slow in the morning. I think it is due to having some difficulty with breathing at night. I sleep deep but a little foggy when I wake up. You can change your mood in the morning by adjusting your activity level when you wake up. Just move faster, or go for a walk, whatever you can do to lift your energy. That will dramatically alter your morning mood pattern.

On an average morning I'm slow to start, want to stay in bed and need coffee just to think straight! But when I have something exciting to do (say, I'm on vacation in another country) then I practically bound out of bed and I'm happy and chatty right away even if I didn't get enough sleep. I do think it's life circumstances, personally I hate routines because it makes me feel like I'm wasting my time and my life. When things change it's stimulating and gives me something to look forward to.

I find it quite easily possible to change my morning moods.... a couple shots of whiskey and a couple of pain killers..... usually does the trick!! ......... Seriously though, I think you are on track with ones circumstances... If you have things to look forward to in your life seems to tremendously affect ones' outlook. Argument could be made that all moods are physiological; caused by brain chemistry and genetics. I suggest altering your brain chemistry waking each morning and having "sex"... It increases the flow of positive mood altering chemicals or refer to my original thought....."Better living through chemistry and self medication..." Just a thought....... Peace......

Im a little grumpy first thing in the morning until I have my coffee. I have found that if I get organized the night before for the morning then I am not as rushed and therefore not as grumpy.

it has partly to do if u were in the middle of a good dream, how much sleep u got, or if u had to wake up extra early to that annoying alarm clock. it also depends how tired u are if u woke up in the middle of deep sleep.

i HATE getting up early. i cant think straight, and it takes me about 2 hours to think, depending on what i have to do.
