maps can be found at most libraries as single sheets or bound in atlases. A good source for maps of Germany of many varieties on the internet is www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/germany. Another is www.lonelyplanet.com/mapshells/europe/germany. Your search should be guided by what it is that you want to findout about Germany. A reference map will help you find cities, rounds, that sort of thing. A thematic map will show coal mines, or electrical generating stations, that sort of thing (depending on the topic or theme, etc). A physical map will show rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. And you may wish to consider "scale". A large scale map will show much detail but if you want to see all of the country without much detail you will use a small-scale map.
