What stands out in my mind about him is his teachers said he'd never amount to anything!

Well there are quite a few things Einstein did, I assume this is for some research paper, so I'll try to help:

1. General Theory of Relativity
2. Unified Field Theory (which is the basis for the modern String Theory)
3. Not many people read about it, but the Copenhagen Interpretation is interesting. There is quite a famous picture from that time with Bohr and Einstein reclining in comfy chairs :).

By the way Number 1 is E=mc^2 where E is energy destroyed, m is the mass and c is the speed of light which is 3.0x10^8

He convinced FDR to pursue the creation of an atomic device

2) Perform Photoelectric Effect Experiment - won noble prize by explaining that light behaves as particle

Discover the theory of relativity, e=mc^2

He also made huge advancements in the quantum theory

Einstien was the one with the idea for the atomic bomb, and suggested FD Roosevelt telling him to study Nuclear fission before the Nazzis learned it. And he did, and I think we all know what happened.

ok i just reviewd this in science class today he and this one weired dude wrote to the president of the united states, which was then president roosevelt, and said they had a feeling i think it was germany... well that germany was making an atomic bomb. did that help any?

If you want discoveries, he did create the theory of relativity. And e=mc2, if they aren't the same thing.
