You did drag your feet on this one and you are asking allot. The effect of magnetizing water would be to remove particulate matter that is ferrous only. My answer would be no it would not affect taste it would only improve the turbidity in the water.

The subject of water is an interesting one and I doubt very much you will get the response you are wanting. Try contacting someone from your water treatment plant they may be able to steer you in the right direction.
