i ve taken a lot of penalty kix for my HS team.... all you have to do is never look at the goalie... and put your head down but you have to know and never change your mind to where you are placing the ball.... i mean never change your mind.... dont get nervous... dont try anything fancy.. start at the the corner where the arc ends.... as you start sort of hop and skip and three steps before you kick slow down just a little and then speed up and kick the ball. i ve made all of my PKs that way and my team really trusts me on PKs. i usually use outside of my right foot... it goes to the corner and hits the bar sometimes but it goes in.

o.k. what you need to do is clear your mind of every thing. i play soccer too and i score most of my goals on pk what you have to do is just practice aiming for the net. when you can hit the net every time, work on kicking the ball to the lower corner of the goal. that is the hardest spot for a keeper to reach. if you can hit the corners every time that is very very good. it is better to have accuracy than power. the power will come with more practice. that is all i have to say. Good Luck!!

I personally hate PK's myself, but something that calms me and a lot of other players that I know is to make a ritual before taking the kick, whether doing a stretch, or stepping to the right, then back....the familiarity comforts you because PK's have a very foreign feeling to them.
good luck in your tourney :)

choose a side or a corner, dont STARE at it, just peek at it so you dont give it away. fire away, and try to curve it if there is enough wind and you kick it with you inside big toe. remember, if you choose a side, you a 50 50 chance, becuase the goalie has to go either way, the way towards the ball, or the opposite. Good Luck.

pick your side before hand.. never change your mind... if you want to intimidate the keeper star right at them before u shoot, it will also make them nervous, there are 3 main areas to shoot
left, right, and center, u probably dont want to shoot down the middle if you dont take pks too often, always shoot down, dont make the ball go in the air, its harder to save if its on the ground
depending on your stronger foot will determine which side you will shoot, for example left footed players usually shoot to the left side right shoot to the right
so jog slowly up to the ball(about 2-3 steps) get ready to shoot then just hit it in the left/right bottom corner
also see which side the ppl in front of you are shooting, if they all shoot to the left the goalie will be expecting one ot the right, or vice versa... hope this helps good luck!!

being a keeper i find little things kickers do. usually a person will look to the corner they will shoot to. try not to do that. but when u go up there make sure u already know where your gonna shoot the ball at. pick ur corner before hand. just relax and do what u practice.

Deep breaths before the take. Choose a side or corner and DO NOT change your mind mid take. Study the keepers tendencies, and KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN.

Don't panic, don't look at the ball when kicking, look at the goal where you wanna kick, and study the goalkeeper before you kick.
