They become greedy, and only seem to care about themselves. I think it's because sometimes they might have a memory of that year that brings them down. alot of people get streesed because they have too much work during the holidays, and they don't get vacations. some peolpe try to be compedative, and then they don't win; they get very moody and upset. Some people live alone and for some reason they don't want company. since no one lives with them they become obbsessed things. also they mite want to buy a gift, theycome the next day to buy it but there's no more; that can make people VERY upset. or they can't afford the gift. lots of peolpe also absolutly hate when relatives come over because they don't have a good relation ship with their family.

thats a good question i th ink it is because during the holidays people think that oh if i make a better pumpkin pie ill be popular or be cool. When everyone thinks that hes not gonna be the best and he is trying way to hard to be cool. Holidays are supposed to be fun but for some i guess its just a chance to show off what they think they can do better than others.
GL!

I believe it's more the change to the winter from fall than it is holidays.
People also stress over gift buying, which totally eliminates the true meaning of the seasons.
Also maybe because they have to deal with difficult family members during get togethers.
Maybe it's because they can't be close to the people they want to be close to.
Also when they see a lot of people purchase things that they themselves can't afford to is a bummer too.
After saying that, I do wish you all a happy holiday season.

The IMAGE is wonderful. The reality is that when family come together, stuff comes up. The longer you spend with them, the more their imperfections and annoyances are apparent. For those alone for the holidays . . . well, that's just depressing! Pretty hard to have a party all by yourself.

Because the holidays have lost their meaning and have turned from a time of celebration into a giant contest and a vulgar sales pitch.

they are for most people but for some they are a time of lonliness and possibly jealousy that they don't have someone to share the holiday with.
