I had a malfunction with a condom 3 days ago. we were playing before hand and he had some lubrication on, then i put the condom on. well i was gettingg into what i was doing so much that his penis fell out but the condom stayed in my, then i put it back and kept going for about 2 min until i felt the condom fall out of me. he said he had already come in it, and i know even if he hadn't there is a risk of pregnancy. we have both been tested for STD's and the results were negative. I'm not very worried about getting pregnant because my period had ended exactly a week before this incident so i should not have been ovulating, however, i would like to take a test asap to be positive.
So my question is do i have to wait until when my next period should be before i test? (i don't have regular periods according to normal standard, they are 32-35 days apart sometimes more so its hard for me to know anyway)
thanx

Hey sweetie.. Well.. You do have to wait about three days after your period starts and if you dont get your period when your supposed to that is a sure sign you need to take a pregnancy test. The symptoms you will or might get if you are pregnant are sore breasts, dizziness, throwing up. Those are sure signs. If you have insurance. Go to your family doctor tell him what happened and he could give you the morning after pill.. You have to do that before 78 hours is up though. hummm.. well hun the best of luck to you. hope everything turns out for the best. take care. zoe

Pregnancy is highly possible. Here is why:

You said that your condom malfunction happened a week after your period ended which is a good indication of time-frame. Your period is considered day one of your cycle and lets say your period lasted five days, if you had sex a week after that means you had sex on the 12th day of your cycle. Sperm can live up to 5 days in the vagina, uterus and fallopian tubes. If you ovulated one-five days later (days 13-17) you could have become pregnant.

Most of the time, people with longer cycles have longer luteal phases. (The luteal phase is the time between ovulation and mestruation and the time when the fertilized egg implants into the uterus. Luteal phases last between 10-18 days and are generally consistant) What this means for you is that you could have ovulated between cycle days 14-20 which puts your little mishap right in your fertile period.

Because your cycle length is a little longer than average, I would suggest you to buy a sensitive test and use the first morning urine on day 30 of your cycle (that is if your period has not arrived yet.)

Good Luck.

A blood test will show if you are pregnant 7 days following conception.
You can test 19 days from the day you think you became pregnant.
Go to http://www.peeonastick.com for more on when to test

Good luck

If you don't want to have a kid, go get the morning after pill. Then get on birth-control. It's not fair to anyone, especially a miracle.

If you want the pregnancy to go on (if u are pregnant), get a test anywhere after 4-6 weeks.

wait until you're good and late, and then take a test.
