Oz is a small quantity no doubt,but it is not so small like a tiny drop of watr.But there is no doubt that perfumes are very costly because the cost of prodution is very high.

Because if it's sold in large quantities the product will likely go bad before it can all be used up. Old perfumes get kind of skunky.
Small quantities are best, plus you shouldn't really wear a lot at one time!

Two ideas

It is soooooo expensive

The larger volume has ingredients that will evaporate out by the time the bottle is used - so you get the smaller size - less loss.

oz in pounds are different from oz in fluids ( one is weight, the other is volume)
8oz = 1 cup

and yes, perfume is not splashed on..it's applied.. (in tiny amounts when its pungent)

AH, but with perfume, a drop is all you need.

You want to be subtle, not marinate in it
