Your physician might want to favor to seem interior to make sure out why you've the burning. although the speculums that are used are available in distinct sizes, and enable your physician comprehend you're a virgin (she/he will probable ask that besides, because the precedence will be that you've an STD like gonorrhea or chlamydia that you get from sexual sex. So maximum in all probability they are going to use the small speculum. it really is going to no longer be painful, even though it is going to likely be awkward and also you would possibly want to experience some rigidity (take some deep breaths). If something hurts, enable your physician comprehend at contemporary. they don't inevitably favor to do a Pap smear if you're a virgin, even though it does no longer be unreasonable for them to do one even as they are doing the exam besides. The Pap smear might want to no longer be uncomfortable - you ought to really experience a element - somewhat rigidity. it really is done by gently rubbing a touch brush (with bristle like a tender toothbrush) or a small timber or plastic paddle (form of like a small tongue-depressor) on the cervix. loosen up - you'll do high quality, and it wil be over previously you comprehend it and also you'll get on the line to convalescing and feeling extra useful.

Its absolutely nothing to worry about, don't give it another thought.
You will barely feel a thing.
Maybe slight discomfort or temporary embarassement but the doctor is a professional.

It does sound scary though I know, but the doctor will just be scraping your cervix for cells, this will take one second, and if you are having sex or you wear tampons it will feel a lot less uncomfortable for you.

Seriously do not worry! You'll do fine!

it does not hurt as much as you think, it is like a small pinch for one second and the rest you can't even feel. Most really good doctors are gentle and will talk you through the whole thing, telling you what they are going to do and why and what it should feel like. If you are that worried, take your mom or a close friend and squeeze their hand (if the doctor's will let you).
Don't worry, you will be fine.

the entire exam takes no more then 5 mins. (Not counting the time it takes to change) It's weird laying there with your legs spread for your doctor, but there is no pain what so ever. Your doctor will tell you everything that they are doing, step by step. There's nothing to fear....you'll feel some pressure when they so the swab, but that's just about it. Before you know it, you'll be done. (I've have five of these and still get nervous, its normal).

It really isn't too painful, mostly just uncomfortable and you will feel a little pressure. Staying relaxed is the most important thing, when you aren't relaxed it hurts a little. You get used to them in time and soon they won't even bother you anymore. Exams are very important.

It's not painful. They make you lie on your back and open up and you can be forgiven for feeling vulnerable. I suggest you choose a female physician for this task if you feel embarassed. Remember this short procedure is nothing compared to the pain and agony of cervical cancer so go for it, enjoy it if you can.

It is a bit uncomfortable, I don't think it is painful though.
Just remember to relax and not tense up, believe me, I am sure you are thinking easier said than done, but it is a very quick procedure and will go faster if you relax.

It is more uncomfortable then painful, just relax and breath deeply and slowly. You will do fine, and believe it or not as unpleasant as it is you eventually become acustomed to it as a part of being female....we all have to deal with it eventually.
