Good point.
No, I do sometimes hear comments if I am ina certain part of the town - but I cannot really see if worries me in the slightest.
I am comfortable with my race - whatever name someone wants to call it. I am a whitey / cracker / honky (not hear that one for yonks though), but I don't have a problem with any of it really.
It isn't as if I'm ashamed of my race or my colour - so why on earth would I be worried about it?

Depends on the context, really. I sometimes, in the past have gotten offended when someone gay calls me a breeder, as if that is all heteros are capable of...I don't call them names, am respectfull and quite frankly could care less which way anyone swings, so yeah sometimes that one hurts....esp. when it is in front of a lot of our friends...
If I were black, the N word would offend me deeply. It is a word that is not of this day and age but back to the days where things were just plain wrong and if black people don't like it, not only do I not wonder why, I just wonder why you can't just say hey you are an idiot (if the person is) instead of making a total idiot out of yourself by saying it.
Being called a cracker...I like crackers, Ritz, waverly wafers, even brown wheat stelstioon crackers, so...so what?
I think the worst offensive slurs of all are some of those directed to men by women and to women by men, no matter what race.....that is something we all need to work on. Just my opinion...good question.

Yes I would. And I can understand why anyone would be offended. It is hurtful, attacking your identity. I believe someone who refuses to be offended might just be hiding it inside. That can be even more hurtful.
Trying to be so "strong" - nothing touches them - I feel sorry for anyone like that, because they are not living.
WOW! Nobody is offended here. What a nice peaceful world we live in.

are you extremely asking this question, to confirm what names offend white people? so which you would be able to insult them lower back? wow. do not slump to their point! i'm white and that i detect the word "cracker" to be offensive and trailer trash. simply by fact thats not what i'm. those people caling you the n-word are ignorant. people that use that word are vulnerable. they think of it supplies them something over those they say it approximately. It facilitates them to experience pleased with their undesirable, terrible ideals.they suspect that those they call that word are under human, that that's alright to hate them, that that's alright to kill them, that that's alright to enslave them. i'm not racist nor do I ever use racial slurs for exciting or jokes. i admire all races. i think of we ought to consistently all study to love one yet another. we are all human. only overlook with regard to the bigoted people.

I wouldn't be offended by the word, but if they were speaking very rudely to me in front of other people, I might take slight moment of offense to that. Shouldn't, but I probably would.

I personally would not unless there was angery in the statement but I surely understand if someone is offended and you need to respect that.

No. Racial slurs demean the speaker, not the recipient.

It is all in how you feel about yourself. Words are just that. When someone says something you don't like no need to stoop to their level of stupidity. People who need attention needs your response. Give no response and they move on to the next victim.

Not if they were of my race. Otherwise I would make a big stink about it to anyone that would listen.
