What do you think when someone gives you a hand made present? Not from your child, of course

I love them because it shows the person took the time and effort to make you something. Who cares how much a gift costs.. as long as it is from the heart.

I Look At It As If Someone Really took The Time Make Me Something And I Rather Have Something Handmade then Store Bought Because I Know They Took the Time To Make It By Hand

NO NO NO.....

Handmade Christmas gifts are NOT tacky. It shows that the person cared enough to give you something that they made with their own hands, whether they could afford better or not. They made something just for you, putting a bit of themselves into it, since there is not another gift like that in the world....

I don't think it's tacky at all. I would much rather get a handmade gift that someone put thought and effort into. It means a lot to know that someone made that gift with you in mind.

What is tacky is getting one of those lame gifts like a Chia pet, or a coin organizer or something. I would rather just get a nice card instead of one of those "Oh yeah, I guess I'd better buy you a gift" gift.

I'm an artist and everyone always wants hand made presents from me but I always worry with this same question in mind. Also its a pain in the anus and much easier to go to Walmart.

u can clearly tell the difference from a person trying to be stingy and the person that cares from the quality of the present.

i appriciate handmade presents from a pesron who cares...it means they were actually bothered to sit there and make something for you....i think thats quite sweet....

no. i think sometimes they can be even better than a store bought gift. last year my best friend made handmade soaps for everyone. she used all different shapes & colors and they were really pretty.

No! Because homemade gifts come from people's pure heart. And I also think gifts are better homemade that means you can't find anyone else with your gift. Not enless the person that gave it to you makes another one.
