You should not be focusing on one school. If you are interested in Harvard, you should apply to Princeton, Yale and others that interest you as well. Keep in mind that these colleges are extremely competitive and selective, so be prepared to present an excellent application package with top SAT I and SAT II scores, excellent grades and recommendations, essays, and tons of community and extra-curricular work. Harvard probably has a slightly higher "prestige" rating, but I mean SLIGHTLY. As someone pointed out, Harvard has a great graduate program...some think the undergraduate program suffers a bit (e.g. undergraduate classes often taught by graduate students, not professors...) and surveys among current students have shown them to be less satisfied than other "Ivy peers." On the other hand, it's true, you can't go too far wrong attending Harvard. Princeton and Yale are exceptional schools, as well...but then there are schools like Williams and Amherst as well. It depends what you're interested in, which is the best fit, which one(s) you are accepted to, etc.

Harvard and Yale are bigger operations than Princeton. They have large graduate programs. WHile Princeton does have well respected grad programs too, they are most noted for the quality of their undergraduate program. That is why they are tied with Harvard. In reality, you would be very fortunate get get into any of these three schools.
