Once encrypted how do you allow certain people to log on. Thanks!

Set your WPA security in the wireless section of your router's configuration.

Once you set it up you will need to provide a network key lenght depends on the encryption strength you select. Some routers will generate keys for you.

When you connect the laptop to your network you will need to provide the ssid, encryption type and network key for them to gain access to your network.

Save the profile and that's it.

Read the instructions. If you have Linksys router, just go to their website and they have insttructions that will do it automatically.

assuming you have a reasonable router, there is a website built in the router...

it's only for your home network...

http://192.168.0.1 gets to my netgear

http://192.168.15.1 gets to my linksys

try those addresses or use the search engines for "configure XXX router"
