This is a serious question, I am not joking. I saw a woman in Tuscon chasing a Javilna (a type of wild pig, in the pecary family I think) with a rib bone from Tony Roma's. They will attack and can kill you. OK I hate outdoor activities, know very little about zoology, yet I know it is not prudent to chase a wild animal with food. What thought process do I have that she does not?

I think it has to do with your basic intelligence .. I have come to think that there is "soft ware" missing in a lot of people... to put it in jargon, they aren't "wrapped too tight" - or, as one elderly lady (?) I know says, "the elevator does not go to the
top floor."

Obviously, you do have a thought process whereas the woman in question acts upon an emotional
level, and without thought ...

Don't think that you are the only one
who stares at people in disbelief ...
people are very different... not just in intelligence, but their moral structure
is very different ... see, that woman
probably cared not a whit for prudence .... maybe she thought it
hilarious that she was putting herself in danger, causing trouble to others..

Er, howcome there was a Javilna near Tony Roma's ?. What IS Tuscon like, anyway .... unususal!!!!!

Whatever gave you the impression that the idiocy is of the "high functioning" variety?

Perhaps, there is just a variance in impulse control. Your story is not full enough to tell.

Actually it's the opposite, the resource you lack that she had is called bravery.
