like if you're on your period and you take birth control, will it stop?

No. It takes time for the hormones to accumulate and build in the body. There are pills that will keep you from having a period.

No it will not. Being on birth control makes your body think it's pregnant and that is why you don't have a period. Most types are giving you 3 weeks of hormones and 1 week of placebo (Sugar pills). Once you establish a pattern with your prescription, it is possible to skip the placebo pills and begin with the active ones right away. This will cause you to skip your period but if you begin your prescription in the middle of your cycle, it will not stop it.

No, you will still have your periods but depending on which type of pill you are taking will depend on how frequently they are regulated. Any questions that you may have about birth control you need to consult with your doctor about.

depends on the type of birth control. and likely, no. it will take several months for your body to realize what the meds are trying to do. (double check w/ your doctor or go to www.webmd.com and search your particular birth control).
