It was a character in a book I read. The name is Greek and it means glowing. My mom and sister-in-law hate it, but I think it is different and beautiful name for a girl. I thought Elizabeth would be a good middle name.... so the name would be Phaedra Elizabeth. Love to hear your opinions.

At first I thought, absolutely not BUT it is growing on me I think. The name does go well together. I like Elisabeth with an "s" too. It is much more feminine.

I think the nickname she would get would be Fade.

If you want something along the same lines but a little more common maybe:
Phoebe Elizabeth
Kendra Elizabeth
Cassandra Elizabeth
Farren Elizabeth
Alexandra Elizabeth

Also, as a middle name it is cute too.

Abigail Phaedra
Isabella Phaedra
Lilyanne Phaedra

It does remind me of ephedra whenever I say it though.
Goodluck with whatever you choose. It is cute.

I am really sorry but it sounds like a diet pill. I know you like it and that is what counts but think about how she would feel when she gets older. people might call her names. I do like Elizabeth Phaedra though. That is good. I know all of these people saying they don't like it is heartbraking but it is just our opinion. E-mail me and I will be able to help you out.

It sounds like a diet pill. Sorry, but that's the nicest thing I could think of. Elizabeth is a good name, though.

The first think I thought of was Ephedra. Its different though and if you like it then that is what counts. Elizabeth is always pretty.

I think its really pretty. I like names that are original- and I hate the trendy new names.

Good luck :)

I think it is not a good idea, it is hard to say and read and write, it can cause your child a hard time at school.
what ever you call your baby, make sure it is easy to say, read, and write, then he will learn to write his name fast and that will make feel good about her name
