How can I use makeup to make a big nose look smaller?

Put a lighter color concealer or foundation down the bridge to the tip of your nose.

I think if you add a noticable eyeshadow because your nose is connected to your space between your eyes it will draw attetion to your nose.

A girl in my grade puts eyeliner above her eye and a golden eyeshadow and eyeone calls her "big Nose" :)

But for that part don't listen to anyone big nose = beautiful person.....
make-up won't make you pretty, you'll dodge a few bullets but then get shoot multiple times

big as in wide? Put lighter on the bridge of your nose & darker on your nostrils. The key is to blend very well, so there are no lines.

not wide, but prominent? Do the opposite- darker on the bridge & lighter on the nostrils. Blending is the most important step.

The darker will make it seem as if it's in the shade, hence not so big.

Kevyn Aucoin makes a sculpting powder expressly for this purpose and it even comes with a special contouring brush that distributes a soft, blended application of the dark shadow-y shade onto the sides of your nose. it's pricey but the color is worth it. neutral, not warm or orangey like a bronzer, and it just looks like... shadowing.

if you can't afford the Kevyn, try a darker shade of powder 1-2 steps away from your normal one. It should look a little ashy, not warm or golden. i find that Cover Girl makes a wide range of powders for dark skin without redness or orangeyness--i use that for contouring.

accent ,your eyes(if they are nice) or your hair, maybe a big smile with nice white teeth, i don't think you can actually hide or make your nose appear smaller with makeup. look at Al Pachino, great eyes huge nose. most of all have confidence that you look good, and everyone else will think so too.

Apply a shade of powder lighter than your skintone on the bridge of your nose, and on the sides of it, apply one a shade darker. This is called contouring, and will make your nose look smaller.

If your nose is too long white concealer straight down the middle so it is lighter than the rest. Blend it with your make-up it has helped me.

i would like play up u're eyes and put eyeliner or some bright eyeshadow on. i have a big nose too, but i put a little lite purple eyeline on bottom lid and a little shimmer eyeshadow, now kno 1 ever notices my nose; they notice my eyes.
